As the song says…anything goes! Join us as we bring in the 2017-18 season with a concert featuring a wide variety of repertoire presented by the Greeley Chorale. Featured will be audience favorites and Chorale requests, and everything from the music of the great cathedrals to folk songs, spirituals and much more, including the entire Frostiana suite, short choral songs composed by beloved America composer Randall Thompson set to texts by Robert Frost. Our special guests on the program will be the Greeley Children’s Chorale, now celebrating their 28th year of song.

Perhaps no masterwork is as representative of Christmas as is Handel’s Messiah. The grand choruses and soaring solos are known throughout the world, and this is your chance to sing-along! Bring your scores, warm up those vocal cords and join the Chorale in some of the greatest music ever composed! There will also be lots of traditional holiday music, but please…let us do the singing of those!

Pops & Pasta just keeps getting better and better, and the 23rd presentation will follow that trend! A fundraiser for The Greeley Chorale Tour Fund, we will once again transform one of the rooms at the Recreation Center into a stylish and classy cabaret. Come enjoy a chef-prepared pasta dinner, complete with dessert and wine, and cabaret-style entertainment present by members of the Chorale in solos, duets and ensembles, as well as several numbers by the entire Chorale. And don’t forget our incredible silent auction!

Featuring “Testament of Freedom” by Randall Thompson

Join us as we celebrate our cultural heritage in a concert of songs celebrating all things American! At the center of our concert we present The Testament of Freedom, again by American composer Randall Thompson, set to the powerful words of Thomas Jefferson. Featured will be music by American composers set to texts by such immortal poets as Walt Whitman and others. The Chorale will perform some of the earliest arrangements of spirituals (African American folk songs) from the 19th century as well as contemporary settings. The concert will also feature settings by such beloved composers as Daniel Forrest, Howard Helvey, and Cecil Effinger.
